Managing your account

Your Account modal handles profile, sign-in methods, devices, and connected services. Here's what each section does and how to find it.

Managing your account

Your Account is where you manage your profile, sign-in methods, devices, and connected services. Anyone with a Stash account has one — Admin or Member.

Where to find your account

  1. Click your profile picture at the bottom of the sidebar.

  2. In the dropdown, click Manage account.

The Account modal opens with two tabs: Profile and Security.

What's in each tab

Profile

  • Profile — your name and profile picture

  • Email addresses — primary and secondary emails on your account. See Adding and managing email addresses.

  • Connected accounts — third-party sign-in providers you've linked (Google)

Security

Updating your name

  1. Open Account → Profile.

  2. Click Update profile.

  3. Edit your First name and Last name.

  4. Click Save.

Updating your profile picture

  1. Open Account → Profile.

  2. Click Update profile.

  3. Click Upload and pick an image. Recommended size: 1:1 (square), up to 10MB.

  4. Click Save.

To remove your picture, click Remove in the same dialog.

Connected accounts (Google)

If you signed up using Continue with Google, your Google account appears under Connected accounts with the email it's linked to.

To disconnect Google, click the ⋯ menu next to it and choose disconnect. You'll still be able to sign in using your email — Stash will send a verification code or magic link to your inbox. The same goes if you want to use a different Google account: disconnect, then sign in with email, then reconnect Google with the new account.

Disconnecting Google won't lock you out as long as you can access at least one of the email addresses on your account.

The profile dropdown menu

The same dropdown that opens Manage account also has a few quick shortcuts:

  • Light mode / Dark mode — switch the app's theme. See Switching between dark mode and light mode.

  • Help center — opens this Help Center

  • Support — opens chat with our team

  • Sign out — sign out of this device only (other devices stay signed in)
