Setting your currency

Stash uses one currency for the whole organization. It applies to inventory cost prices, PO totals, supplier minimums, and Dashboard KPIs. Pick it once during setup and you're done.

Who can do this

Only Admins can change the organization's currency.

How to set or change your currency

  1. From the sidebar, open SettingsOrganization.

  2. Find the Currency field.

  3. Pick your currency from the dropdown (USD, EUR, GBP, SAR, etc.).

  4. Save.

What changing currency does — and doesn't do

Does:

  • Updates the currency symbol everywhere in the app

  • Changes how new costs and totals are displayed

Doesn't:

  • Convert existing values. If you change from USD to EUR, an item that cost $10 will now show as €10 — the number stays the same, only the symbol changes.

  • Handle multi-currency. Stash currently supports one currency per organization. If you operate in multiple currencies (e.g., shops in different countries), you'd manually convert when entering costs.

If you really need multi-currency

For now, the workarounds:

  • Create separate Stash organizations for shops in different currencies (clean but inconvenient)

  • Convert all costs into your primary currency when entering them (simpler but loses local-currency reporting)

True multi-currency support is on the roadmap — being able to set per-shop or per-supplier currency with automatic conversion. Let us know via chat if this is blocking you.
