How to add your first location (shop)
A location (we also call it a shop) is a physical place where you store and sell stock — a café, a retail store, a warehouse, a kitchen, or a back-of-house storage room. Every inventory item in Stash belongs to one location, so you need at least one before you can add items.
You can have one location or many. Each one tracks its own stock independently, and you can transfer items between them.
Who can do this
Only Admins can add, edit, or delete locations.
How to add a location
From the sidebar, open Settings → Locations.
Click Add location.
Enter a Name. Use something your team will recognize at a glance — e.g., Le Koffee Marais, Downtown Store, Main Warehouse.
Optionally add an Address. This is used as the ship-to address on purchase orders, so it's worth filling in if you order from suppliers.
Click Save.
The location appears in your sidebar location picker (top of the left nav) immediately. Switch to it to see only that location's items, POs, transfers, and reports.
Good to know
How many locations can I have?
It depends on your plan:
Core — 1 location
Pro — 2 locations
Scale — 3 or more locations (custom, book a call)
If you hit your limit, you'll be prompted to upgrade.
The location picker (top of sidebar)
The dropdown at the top of the sidebar lets you switch which location you're viewing. Pick a specific location to filter everything to that shop. Pick All Locations to see your whole business at once.
Why each Blueprint is tied to one location
Blueprints are tied to a single shop because the components they reference (your inventory items) live in specific shops. If you sell the same product at multiple locations, create one Blueprint per location. See What is a Blueprint?
Editing or deleting a location
From Settings → Locations, click any location to edit its name and address. To delete, click the menu (⋯) and choose Delete. You can't delete a location that still has inventory in it — move or remove the stock first.
